When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

We do it in 7 positions...
but only when well lubricated...
i'm a tromboner!!
I only like higher pitches to balance the lower ones. I do not appreciate them for their own merits.
(Although I'll admit, a hand-plucked piano string works best in the higher registers, and it is a cool effect.)
Also on the subject of deep and low things: check out oddmusic.com for some really freakish bass instruments, especially the contrabass sax. That is one sexy instrument. Just listen to it. Oo. Shivers.
and that contrabari sax is awesome!!! wow! ive never heard of it before!!! you ever seen a contrabass trombone? they are weird, as are double violins!
and i can see where ur coming from with the low pitch sounds, they are much groovier than high ones, but used properly high can sound good....just not from a picollo!

I think I've seen a contrabass trombone, but I've never heard one. I'll need to get on that.
